Udhagamandalam: A 58-year-old employee from a cooperative shop in Kotagiri died after a truck crashed into a two-wheeled vehicle where he traveled near Sholurmatam on Kilkotagiri on Monday night.
Police said M Bhojkumar and his friend M Dharmarajan, 57, was on his way home when the truck came from the opposite direction hit their vehicle.
While Bhojkumar died in place, Dharmaraj suffered an injury.
While the truck driver escaped from the place, the police grabbed the truck.
The deceased’s body was sent to a government hospital for postmortem.
