Chennai: A 56-year-old man was electrocuted when the electric cable snapped and hit him near Madhurantham, which was located about 85 km from Chennai, on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as sengeni, 56, from Seyur.
Sengeni walked to his farm holding an umbrella.
It was rainy.
Because of the heavy wind, the tree branch falls on the power cord, which in turn snapped and fell to it.
The man died in place.
