Nagpur: The tension applies in the eastern Nagpur after a man died on Wednesday after being beaten not severely by the police in a full public view below the boundary of the Pardi police station.
Local residents identified the deceased as Manoj Thaokar.
Initial information revealed that the two-wheeled Thaiokar allegedly crashed into police sub-inspectors about Nakabandi’s duties in Pardi Road, reported Proshun Chakraborty.
The police who were upset destroyed Thaokar mercilessly and then took him to the Pardi police station and started the procedure to arrest him by filing fir.
Before the police could complete the process, it was studied that Thaokar fell unconscious at the police station itself.
The police then took him to Shri Bhawani Multispeciality Hospital and the research institute in Pardi, where the doctors stated he was taken dead.
When news spread, the deceased relatives and residents of the regions gathered in large quantities outside the police station demanded action against the police.
Senior police officers, including Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, DCP Neelotpal, among others, rushed to the Pardi police station.
The fast response team and anti-riot team were also posted to prevent unwanted incidents.
Senior PI Sunil Gangurde is not available for comments.
The state cid officer reached the spot pardi and the incident was treated as ‘Demad Custodian Death’.
After the unintentional death is registered, Cid countries tend to take over this case.
Postmortem will be carried out before judges and videos recorded.
A team of doctors will do post-mortem.
The deceased is physically challenged and also blind.
The witnesses claimed his clothes suggested that he was defined in a naked state at the Chowki police.
