Bareilly: Allegedly passed a tight security check from Mumbai Airport using fake documents, a man, 36, on a plane and landed in Bareilly on a ticket released on behalf of his friend – who had fallen ill and had canceled the trip.
Aslam Ismail Lala, 36, was finally arrested two days later, on Tuesday night, when he tried to ride a flight back to Mumbai using the same document.
Aslam Lala forged Pan and Aadhaar cards to become Ashfaq Nawab Sheikh, the actual Flier.
During the search, the police in Bareilly were found from their ownership of two Aadhaar cards – their own and forged in the name of Ashfaq Sheikh.
Lala was handed over to the police without stone.
During questioning, he claimed to have faked documents to use Sheikh’s travel pass.
Senior police officers contacted their colleagues in Mumbai to verify Lala’s credentials.
Officials in Mumbai also investigated this problem.
After the initial investigation, they found that Sheikh, a resident of Andheri in Mumbai, and three other people had booked flight tickets to attend Urs a Saint Sufi in a famous temple in Bareilly.
“However, the day before their journey, Sheikh fell ill and decided to remain back.
Because the ticket is non-refundable, a decision was made to take Aslam Lala, a resident of Navi Mumbai, at the Sheikh boarding pass.
Sheikh shared a PAN card and aadhaar that was scanned for Setting up a copy of Lookay with a photo of Lala, “said a senior police officer.
Lala then managed to avoid security officers at Mumbai airport and take a flight to Bareilly on Sunday, said Senior Police Supervisor (SSP) from Bareilly, Rohit Singh Sajwan.

Lala, along with other group members, reached Bareilly airport at night to ride a flight back.
But, this time, he wasn’t as lucky.
SSP Sajwan told Tii, “We have completed a thorough inquiry and found that Lala came with flight tickets ordered in the name of Sheikh to attend Urs in Bareilly.
Because Sheikh has pulled its name from the trip for medical reasons, the group does not want a ticket for SIA because it cannot be returned.
Then Lala falsify the documents, which is a violation.
He has been ordered under Section 420 (cheating), 467 (forged documents), 468 (forgery for cheating purposes), 471 (dishonest Use fake documents as genuine) from IPC.
