Mumbai: Mumbai Court on Tuesday sentenced him to seven years in prison for attacking and robbing the octogenarian partner who had appointed his guard only 21 days before the incident.
Sacad Sachdev has attacked the couple with steel stems at Khar’s house in 2015 after tying a woman with a cloth and locked it on the toilet while baccing her husband with a vest and telephone wire.
He also robbed RS 4 Lakh’s jewelry and cash and had fled to Manali at Himachal Pradesh, from where he was arrested, said the Public Prosecutor Ashwini Rayakar.
He said guilty under the IPC IPC Sections 394 (voluntarily caused injured in carrying out robbery), 397 (robbery) and 450 (home treppass) and sentenced to seven years in prison with an additional session of the Anil Laddhad judge, the application said.
