City: Pocso Court in the City of Rajasthan District on Tuesday sentenced a man for up to 20 years to kidnap and raped a minor tribe girl in 2019.
Pocso Court Judge Pocso Mohammed Arif Holds Kalu MeBhwal (22), Indigenous People of Birgarh Village in Rajgarh Madhya Pradesh Guilty under the relevant parts of the Criminal Code and the protection of children from children from sexual violations (Pocso) acts, and also imposed a fine of RS 55,000 to him, the Public Prosecutor said, said Dhirendra Choudhary.
Prisoners worked as a daily wage worker in the industrial area in the city of Ramanj Bath and in March 2019, he kidnapped a 15-year-old belonging to the Bheel community and raped him in several places, Choudhary said.
The survivors of the rape filed a complaint against Meghwal at the Ramanj Tempat Police Station on March 7, 2019 after the police who began the investigation and saved the girl 11 days later on March 18, 2019, he said.
At the statement by minors, the police put the case against Meghwal and arrested him on May 27, 2019, said Choudhary.
The charging sheet against Meghwal was submitted at the Pocso Court in June 2019 and a statement of at least 17 witnesses was recorded during the trial, he said.
