Vadodara: He was surprised when he found that Rs 96,000 was missing from his pocket on Thursday morning.
Avinash Deshmukh, a 59-year-old Wadi resident, thought that he had lost the money obtained with difficulty forever.
Even though Deshmukh approached the police Ijigunj, he had a little hope to get his money back.
But the police got the money back in a few hours! According to the police, Deshmukh has gone to the central bus depot in Kuisjigunj to get two-wheeled vehicles from the parking lot.
The cash bundle fell from his pocket and he learned it when he was on the road to deposit money at the bank.
“After he approached us, we scan CCTV recordings from the depot parking lot and see that cash has fallen route out of the parking lot.
A man riding a bicycle takes money and leaves,” said the police.
The police tracked cyclists, identified as Hanif Khalifa, a citizen of Fatehgunj.
Hanif is used to visit the parking lot to clean the parked car.
He claimed to have taken money and returned it to the police.
The police handed over cash to Deshmukh who was happy.
