Prevented / Anil Coimbatore: A 29-year-old construction worker was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for killing a 83-year-old woman to steal the golden chain of four sovereignty on ondipudur on March 2, 2019.

A construction worker, he lives in a rented house on ondipudur in the city.
“He used to visit his friend Senthil in his rented house in Sowdamman Temple Street, where he found R Kariammal, 83, who was often alone in his house, like his son Arumugam, 53, was used to work,” the source said.
On March 2, 2019, the source said Balakrishnan went to his house when his son went to work, hit his head with a shovel and made of his chain.
“When Arumugam returned home, he found his mother died and reminded Saraste’s police, who registered the case and arrested Balaakrishnan.
The police also recovered the gold chain stolen from him and put it in the coimbatore center prison.” The case trial was held before the first additional district judge court.
Judge S Nagarajan said the verdict on Tuesday, sentenced Balakrishnan to a lifetime imprisonment to kill elderly women, 10 years in prison to enter his house to commit a violation and seven years in prison to try to cause death or painfully.
The court said the sentence would go together.
