Coimbatore: The local court has sentenced a man of 25 years old to three years in prison on Monday for trying to kill his relatives in 2016.
Madukkarai police said the 25-year-old Dineshkumar had tried to kill Amirtham aged 58 years, a resident of Vazhukkuparai, on June 3, 2016, when He did not allow him to take coconut from his brother’s brother-in-law farm.
A woman with difficulty learning, Amirtham lives with her sister and brother in Vazhukkuparai, said a police officer.
He said the son of the younger brother of Palaniamy Dineshkumar was used to ask for money from Amirtham often because of his coconut business.
“On the decisive day, the Dineshkumar went to the Palanisamy farm to collect coconut, but Amirtham did not allow it.
In anger, he tried to kill him by hitting his head with stone,” the officer said.
Based on Palanisamy’s complaint, the Madukkarai police registered an effort to kill the case and arrest the dineshkumar.
Case trial was held before the second additional subordinate court, which said the verdict on Monday and imposed a fine of RS 3,000 on the dineshkumar.
