Letter: A 30-year-old man, destroyed a dilapidated three-story building in the Parle Point area, died after he fell from the third floor.
The Sandip Gavit Labor Agency was released from the debris by the firefighting team and shifted to the hospital where he was declared dead.
A labor team destroyed a dilapidated Toran apartment, which was once a place for staff for a nationalized bank.
Gavit was among the workers on the third floor when part of the floor collapsed where he stood up.
Some of the walls also fell to the victim who resulted in his death.
The deceased is a native resident of Borpa in the NAVAPUR district of Nandurbar in Maharashtra.
The fire department received a call at around 12:45 a.m.
after a team of three fire stations was reached.
About 15 fires joined the rescue operation to ensure that no other workers suffered injuries.
“All are casual workers rented by the contractor.
The work lasted for the past few days and the victim had joined on Thursday,” said API official.
Other workers suffer minor injuries.
