Gurgaon: A 45-year-old man who lost his job during the Covid outbreak and wanted to start his own startup allegedly cheated more than Rs 60 lakh by online fraudsters.
Posing as a Japanese businessman, Conman allegedly approached the victim with a business proposal and made him pay money in various transactions for four months.
The victim spent all of his savings and even took a personal loan.
Based on the complaint submitted by Pradeep Saha, a resident of sector 45, a case is registered at the Cyber Police Station on Tuesday under the IPC Section 420 (Cheating) IPC and Parts 66D (using computer sources to deceive).
