Rajkot: 43-year-old farm workers who lived in Tarsai Village in Jamnagar Regency were withdrawn by crocodiles on the Bhileshwari River on Tuesday morning.
Pasu Vadhiya who has already answered nature calls around 9am on the river that passed his village.
Vadhiya went to take some water in the bucket from the river when the crocodile grabbed Vadhiya’s feet and pulled it into the river.
The people were close to seeing Vadhiya pulled away, but they did not dare to save him.
Vadhiya’s body, floating on the river, came out in the afternoon.
The police said that he might die of drowning and not for crocodile attacks.
“There is no sign of injury on his body except his legs, so there is a possibility that he might have died of drowning,” said a police officer.
Officials of the Forest Department said that at least four to five crocodiles had been seen on the river after the rainy season.
