Coimbatore: City Police arrested a 45-year-old man on Wednesday because of stealing a battery from an unbroken power supply (UPS) system in the Centers atm.
The person arrested was identified as S Senthilkumar of Sengadu in Pappanaticenpalayam.
Graduates of computer science, he runs a computer service center.
On February 1, the UPS battery was stolen from the private bank ATM Center in Saanallur.
Four days ago, two UPS batteries were stolen from the nationalized Bank ATM center.
A similar case was reported from the limit of the Saanallur and Ramanathapuram police station last month.
Investigating the wing of Karthik investigations and teams collected CCTV recordings from the ATM Center and arrested Senthilkumar on Wednesday.
He told the police that he began stealing a battery after facing a big loss in his business.
He used to target an ATM center that was not maintained and stole a battery during the day, posing as a technician.
He sells stolen batteries for 1,000 to 1,500.
The police confiscated 10 batteries from Him
