Mumbai: A man from Solapur was detained on Monday because he tried to carry out protests sitting in front of Manralaya who sought assistance from the Maharashtra government for business losses due to the restrictions induced by Coronavirus, police said.
Ankush Suryavanshi, who claimed to be a businessman, has also released several clips that detail their demands on social media on Sunday, said a police station official Drive Marine.
The official said Suryavanshi had claimed that business losses had caused several staff to lose their jobs.
He has been detained and not arrested, the official added.
