Dallas: A Texas man who was accused of kidnapping a 4-year-old boy who was found dead on Jalan Dallas had been charged with the cost of capital murder.
Darriynn Ronnell Brown, 18, was charged Monday by a Dallas County Grand Jury in the murder of cash Gernon, The Dallas Morning News reported.
Brown was also charged on charges of theft and kidnapping, court records.
A woman found the body of cash morning on May 15 on the road, about eight blocks from the house in the Mountain Creek area where the boy lives.
Cash and his brother lived with his father and girlfriend, Monica Sherrod.
He reported cash lost about five hours after he was taken.
The video supervision of the cash showed a man stood on it and his twin brother when they slept, took cash and walked out of the room.
Sherrod identified the man with a sneaker as chocolate, in accordance with the statement of the arrest warrant.
The authorities say Brown knows Sherrod and his teenage son but has not released information about the possibility of motives at the age of 4 years.
Lawyer Brown, Heath Harris, said he expected Brown to be found incompetent to try after mental evaluation.
Harris previously said this case was not “open-and closed” and mental health Brown “would be the foundation of our defense.” If convicted of capital murder, Brown will face deadly injections or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Dallas County prosecutor has not said whether they will seek the death penalty.
