LOS ANGELES: Hundreds of homes are feared missing in a fast-moving forest fires in the state of the Colorado US, officials say Thursday, when the fire ripped the areas dried by historical droughts.
At least 1,600 hectares have burned in Boulder County, most of the suburbs, with warnings that death and injury tend to be Blaze Engulfes Hotels and shopping centers.
“We know that around 370 houses in Sagamore Subdivision …
have been lost.
There is a potential of 210 homes lost in the old city of Superior,” said Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle told a press conference.
“I want to emphasize that because of the magnitude and intensity of this fire and its presence in such a solid area, we will not be surprised if there is an injury or death.” Thousands of people have been told to escape from a fast-moving fire, which is estimated to have begun when Powerlines is overthrown by strong winds.
