Tecolutla: Hurricane Grace hit Mexico with heavy rain and wind howling on Saturday, causing severe flooding and killing at least two people, local media reported, after being one of the most powerful storms in the country.
Grace is preparing a maximum sustainable wind of 125 miles per hour (201 per hour), a category 3 storm on a five-step saffir-simpson scale, when slammed to the beach near the Tecolutla resort in the Veracruz state early in the morning.
The seven-year-old girl died of a landslide in the country of Veracruz Xalapa, while an adult was killed at Poza Rica further north by the roof that collapsed, local media said.
Official Veracruz said details will be given at a press conference.
Local television shows severe flooding in Xalapa, with coffins from a local business floating on a water flooded.
Actopan River nearby detonated his banks, turned off local highways, said state authorities.
Grace also causes electricity blackouts and lowering trees.
The image posted on social media shows damage to buildings and cars that are submerged by a flood of rain storms brought.
The State Governor of Cuitlahuac Garcia said several rivers in Veracruz will flood, and urge the locals to take refuge.
“We repeat: interesting to highlands and city hostels,” Garcia said in a statement.
Television recordings also showed floods at Ciudad Madero in the tamaulipas time near the veracruz border.
The State Oil Company Mexico Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) Francisco Madero Refinery is in Ciudad Madero.
Mexico City International Airport said several flights were canceled due to a storm.
National Power Utility The Federal De Electricidad (CFE) commission reported 565,000 electricity users influenced by blackouts.
Grace weakened quickly when moving across the Mexican mountain interior and at 10 am.
The CDT (1500 GMT) is a tropical storm, with a wind over 70 mph (110 kph).
The center is around 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Mexico City, said the Miami National Storm Center (NHC).
Before Grace Hit Land, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador urged people in America Veracruz, Puebla, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas and Hidalgo to reach a higher place or shelter.

Through Sunday, the estimate of NHC Grace will remove 6 to 12 inches (15-30 cm) rain above the eastern and middle Mexican plots, and up to 18 inches (45 cm) in several regions.

Previously in a week, Grace pounded the Caribbean coast of Mexico, along the trees and caused a power outage to nearly 700,000 people, but without causing loss of life, the authorities said.
It also flushed Jamaica and Haiti, still shaken from a large earthquake of 7.2, with heavy rain.
