SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Patriarch Syed Ali Shah Geelani died on Wednesday at his residence in the Hyderpora Srinagar region, leaving the split heritage from the maleStikan that he had been maintained for decades as a leading pro-Pakistani voice in J & K.
He was 92 and unhealthy -month.
Ani’s report quoted IGP (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar said that internet services had been suspended across the valley as part of a series of caution sidewalks.
Referring to Geelani as “Kashmir Freedom Fighter”, Pakistani PM Imran Khan announced, “Pakistan flags will fly half past and we will observe the official day of sorrow.” His body will be taken to his ancestral village in Sopore for burial, family source said.
