Hyderabad: A 12-year-old boy suffered a multi-organ infection because Covid-19 and on ECMO support for 65 days, recovered completely.
The boy from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was flown to KIMS Hospital for ECMO therapy for severe Covid-19 infection and supported in life that utilizes ECMO Vena Veno efficiency for more than two months.
It is said to be the longest time every patient, who wore ECMO support, has fully recovered in this country.
“When the patient comes to us the lungs are fully affected and rigid and cannot supply oxygen to his body.

He added that the hospital had one of the largest and most experienced ECMO teams in the country with dedicated doctors and support staff.
