HYD: AQI will change to worse because the effects of the rainy season run out

Hyderabad: With the rainy season ends, the air quality index (AQI) now shows a downhill trend in the city.
In accordance with the Telangana state pollution control numbers (TSPCB), AQI, which remain below 100 throughout the rainy season in the satisfactory category, rose back to 125 in the moderate category on Thursday.
Leading pollutants such as material particles (PM) 10 and PM 2.5 are relatively high at five of the six monitoring stations in the city.
The TSPCB numbers show that AQI is below 100 to 10 October and has begun to increase since October 11.
On October 13, Aqi in the Zoo Park area touched 230, which fell in the bad category which resulted in most people with prolonged exposure.
“Rains wash pollutants in the air, produce better air quality.
Now rainfall activity has subjugated, air quality slips into the moderate category.
Polututians from vehicles and industry coupled with construction activities contribute to the increase in air pollution levels,” said a senior official from TSPCB.
With Diwali on the corner, residents fear that air quality will only tend to get worse.
“For a while when the lum is worn, the level of air quality is much better.
However, since the lock is reduced, the level of pollution has returned to normal.
I hope it does not deteriorate with firecrackers Diwali,” Madhu Vinod said, a resident of Kothaguda.
