HYD: Diesel price across Rs 100 per liter-mark on Thur

Hyderabad: Diesel prices cross the RS 100 per liter sign for the first time in Hyderabad on Thursday and are now sold at Rs 100.13 because the price of fuel continues to record trends.
The upward movement has since seen the price of diesel violating the RS 100 sign in various cities throughout the country, especially in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
Some cities that sell diesel for more than 100 per liter are Sriganaganagar and Jaipur in Rajasthan and Bubaneswar in Odisha.
Until October 4, Diesel prices in Hyderabad floated around Rs 99.04, before going up for four consecutive days.
More than 1,000 fuel outlets meet the needs of consumers in larger Hyderabad, and 2,400 outlets throughout the state.
On average, more than one liter of fuel sold by this outlet.
Consumers are not satisfied with soaring international oil prices and high domestic tax structures are two main reasons for high levels of gasoline and diesel in the pump, experts said.
When this correspondent visited several fuel stations in the city on Thursday, consumers were seen fighting from price increases.
“Fuel is the main need of our lives, but we have no other choice but bear the burden,” said Prashant Reddy, residents of Vengalraonautagar, said.
“Even if the diesel price reaches Rs 150 per liter, I can’t stop using my car.
Previously, I used to spend RS 300 once in three days, now after the increase, my expenses about fuel have risen 500 per day, because I have Another car is filled, “said J Santosh Kumar, the owner of the car kitchen in Gachibowli.
Mahamood Sidddique, a car driver, who has transported passengers over the past two decades in the city, remembering his day.
“I started driving a car, when the diesel cost was Rs 40 per liter and now, has passed the Rs 100,” he added.
