Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a total of 864 development rights certificates (TDR) towards cash compensation to acquire 350 hectares of land for various road projects.
On October 9, Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar has reviewed the progress of the acquisition of property with all its wings.
“Given the increase in compensation value, the GHMC has initiated the TDR policy in obtaining property with a minimum load on expequer.
In addition, property owners are also willing to part with their land while obtaining a TDR certificate in lieu of cash compensation, because the demand for problems and utilization of TDR has increased with Fast, “read the official release issued by GHM on Friday.
Regarding the land obtained in the last five years, Civic’s body officials said that a total of 89 roads had been taken for widening roads, where 55 roads had been built and 1,805 properties had been obtained.
Under the SRDP category, GHMC acquired 1,100 properties and 192 properties under the lost category / slip road, and the remaining 511 property under the category of public street widening.
Some widening roads / main road links, where the property acquisition has finished including bio-diversity flyover, Shilparamam rub, Rajiv Gandhi Flyover in Jntu, Road No.45, Stay Cable Bridge (Durgam Cheruvu), rubbing Hitech City, underpass in Bairamalguda to Chintalkunta Checkpost and Flyover in various fields.
