HYD: Indian Air RTD employees are now a hero of two wheels

Hyderabad: When even the young man was hesitant to step out, Kr Srinivas Rao was 70 years old busy helping others.
Even when the Covid-19 case peaked, Rao carried out tasks on his bicycle to provide drugs, rations, and other important things for those in need.
Rao, a retired Indian air employee, also helps Hyderabad assistance riders in checking whether the original request or not.
“I want to do anything I can do for the community,” said Toi 70 years old.
Rao, a resident of Western marredpally, has attended requests within six to seven kilometers from his residence, even sponsoring their requirements in some cases.
“Every time I go to send, I make a point to see their condition and do a little,” he said, adding that his wife was a little hesitant at first but now very cooperative.
“My children, who are currently living abroad, however, don’t fully ride with me stepping in the middle of a pandemic,” he added.
Rao said that he spent around 2 hours every day playing table tennis and mostly used cycles to travel.
He said that on several occasions he found people who tried to abuse their services even when they had healthy adults at home, who were able to do tasks.
“When I found a case like that, I advised them and encouraged them to step out and shop for their needs,” he added and said that he even served younger people from him in recent months.
Rao’s colleague colleagues who volunteered in Relief Relief Hyderabad said that he was an inspiration for many people.
“In addition to giving, he also helped us to verify requests,” said Ravi Sambari, a cyclist.
82-year-old Nirmal Verma, who lives alone in the city, said that Rao delivered its food on Monday after he submitted a request with a Hyderabad assistance driver.
