Hyderabad: A survey for land acquisition to develop a 158 km north leg from the Regional Ring Ring (RRR) 340 km (RRR) has been completed.
More than 4,300 hectares of land are needed for the North Project stretch, elongated between Sangareddy, Narsapur, Toopran, Gajwel, Yadadri, Bhongir, Pragnapur, and Choutuppal urban clusters.
Therefore the largest ring road in the country, RRR, as a whole, may require more than 9,000 hectares of land, including around 5,000 hectares that are expected to be harshly to build the remaining 182-km stretch.
More than 9,000 hectares will be the highest level of land acquisition for road development projects in the history of the country.
A senior official said more than 6,000 hectares were obtained for the development of the ORR project 158-km.
The land needed for the northern part of RRR itself is 4,300 hectares.
However, this is an irrigation project that takes the top position in terms of land acquisition with the Kaleshwaram project only requires more than 30,000 hectares.

The southern part of the toll road extends to 182 km connecting Choutupal, Ibrahimpatnam, Elangkur, Amangal, Chevella, Shankarpally and Sangeddy.
An official survey to identify the extent to which the land needed for a southern stretch has not been taken because the proposal is waiting with the central government.
The new toll road, which will connect the majority of districts in Telangana, are planned to be developed in two parts under the Bharatmala Pariyanajana Phase-I program at a cost of more than 17,000 crores.
The state has convinced to bear 50% of the cost of land acquisition and allocate 750 crores in the direction in budget 2021-2022.
A official says public hearings for land acquisition for the north expanse of RRR can be held at this fiscal end.
A report with village details, where land acquisition must be made, has been sent to the National Highway Authority (NHAI).
Revenue officials will obtain land and provide project sites to NHAI for the development of RRR.
