Hyderabad: The joint committee, which was appointed by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), has confirmed encroachment in Ameenpur forget to the nearest flood of colonies during the rain.
The combined committee also recommends the direct cancellation of the construction permit provided to the construction of Lalitha and others.
Combined Committee of Sangite District collector, senior irrigation officials and representatives of the Lake Protection Committee said: “Envantation and construction are observed in the flow of flood water and its buffer area which transfers the surplus course by disposing of the land and also reduces the width of the crashing surplus.
It causes a partial blocking of the water flow.
“The committee also said home construction was taken at the surplus flow and buffer zone.
“Observed that Lalita’s construction has built a club house in the alignment of the surplus channel and buffer zone.
Individually, Vemulawada Kumara Swamy, has built three individual housing buildings which partly affected the surplus channel and the buffer zone,” it shows.
During the rain, the closest colonies were flooded because of the barrier created in natural waterways due to dumping land and construction activities, the committee explained.
The National Green Court pointed to the combined committee on August 27 this year to examine Nala and submit a report after human rights and consumer protection cell trust and the Krishna Brundavan Association submitted a request for the construction of Lalitha at the Southern Zone NGT.
They challenged the technical agreement given to the construction of Lalalha for the construction of five towers and blocks allegedly on the flood water channel at the Kothacheruvu Nala Tank Outlet and Nala’s inlet from the bandam Kommu Tank of Ameenpur.
The applicant accused that the builder of damaging the natural flood canal and made a deep excavation to build towers, which caused close flooding colonies and caused damage to other personal nature.
The Petitioner demanded the cancellation of HMDA technical approval given to the construction of Lalitha and returned all floodwater water nets and destroyed illegal construction in the FTL zone and buffer.
“The respondent has received a building permit from Ameenpur Gram Panchayat.
We have told Panchayat District officers to take action for permission cancellation,” the Joint Committee said.
