Hyderabad: A young sailor, a 15-year-old boy, Padidala Vishwanath from Hyderabad, whose parents have been chosen on the daily boat boat team every day to represent India at the World Sailing Championship 2021 organized at Riva del Garda, Italy from June 30 to June July 10.
Viswanath Lives and Trains at Navy Boys Sports Company (NBSC), INS Mandovi, Goa.
Apart from his humble background, Viswanath did not give up on his dream to become a professional sailor and work hard to achieve his goal.
He was chosen by the Navy Boys sports company when he was 12 years old.
The NBSC, a joint venture between the Indian Navy and Indian sports authorities have trained young talents such as P Vishwanath with the aim of winning medals in the Asian Championship and Olympics.
Previous achievements in international events included silver medals in the 2017 International Regatta Sub Junior.
Viswanath has become part of the national squad in the optimistic class since then.
