HYD: Slow Steps from Bahadurpura Flyover Work Adds Tribulation

Hyderabad: The slow step from Bahadurpura Flyover works on the NH-44 and applicable obstacles have added to the tribulation of riders and residents living in the surrounding area.
The highway, which is one of the busiest routes, watching traffic snarls because of an incomplete job strangling a stretch of 75 feet wide for 2 km from Puranapul to Bahadurpura Crossroads.
The locals say that even ambulances cannot pass the road when all stretches have turned into obstacles.
“I think the delayed construction work of this flyover needs to be considered immediately because it leads to a traffic jam 2 to 3 km which doesn’t even allow an ambulance to pass the chaos.
Also, the road that leads to flyovers is filled with construction waste that spread to the road every time it rains.
And make all stretches susceptible to accidents, “said Mohammad Areef, a mechanical shop owner, at Bahadurpura.
Stone Foundation for Flyover is placed by city government and the minister of urban development K T Rama Rao in 2018 under the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP).
However, this project must be completed in September 2019.
A taxi driver told TII that the road from Puranapul to Tadbun or the Taman Zoo was stretched was a busy person and the driver had faced some difficulties.
“Bahadurpura junction has been closed for development purposes and those traveling from Kamatipura to Kishan Bagh are now forced to take u-turn near the zoo.
Likewise, those who travel from Kishan Bagh to Bahadurpura or Kamatipura must take U-turns at the police station Bahadurpura.
This alternative route only adds to the chaos and does not even let the ambulance pass without getting caught in traffic, “Zubair Ahmed, Puranapul residents.
The driver, Shaurya Prasad, complained that the construction waste disposed of on the road has become a danger for motorists and it will become whammy double if there is rain.
In accordance with the GHMC project, the 780-MT flyover will be built on 13 pillars of the Bahadurpura police station to Nehru Zoological Park.
“The delay in the construction of Firya is caused by problems related to land acquisition but now working is happening.
It may need a year to complete,” said Saroja Rani, Chief Engineer, GHMC.
