Hyderabad: A robber allegedly attacked a Tollywood actress and grabbed her cellphone when she was on the night of KBR Park on Sunday night.
He suffered an injury while fighting the attack.
The incident described poor security near the park.
Ironically, no one witnessed the attack.
Actress Shalu Chaourasiya went to the KBR park to walk evening around 6:30 p.m., police said Banjara Hills.
Around 8:30 a.m., when he walked on the outside track and reached the location, opposite the popular coffee shop on Jalan No.
93, Jubilee Hills, a concession comes from behind and pulls it to the side.
The lighting at the location was bad.
“After pulling me, he put the cloth into my mouth.
Then, he pushed me into the rock and hit my head three times.
Then, he threw me to the ground, stepped on and hit me,” Chaouryiya said to the police.
The perpetrator then grabbed a large stone and tried to hit him.
“That’s when I pushed him sideways and jumped to the other side and saved myself.
He asked for money and gold ornaments.
When I didn’t give up, he tried to kill me.
He said, I would not leave you alive,” he said in his complaint.
He dragged the actress on the ground for a certain distance, continuously defeating and kicking the victim.
He then grabbed his phone and escaped from the place.
He suffered an injury to his head and his feet.
He also even punched his face which resulted in injury to his lips too.
Then, he called ‘Call 100’ with the help of a caregiver and the police reached the place.
When they verified the nearest CCTV camera, they found that they did not work.
The police are now relying on CCTV footage from the nearest company besides tracking the telephone location of the victim to accuse the defendant.
