Hyderabad: Open Nalas and lack of cleanliness have become a problem of concern for the population of the old city with an inappropriate advice and clogged disposal lines add further problems.
Nalas included Chotapul, Nala Ganganagar, Kandigal Gate, Railroad Bridge and Bahadurpura Mecca Colony had a pile of garbage and wastewater that was overflowing, especially because poor desilting was carried out by civil contractors.
Likewise, Dabeerpura Nala has been a big problem for residents in this region because it is open without a fence around it.
While this problem was taken to the notification of the authorities, no action was taken to install a fence.
Debris, mud and waste thrashed into it have not been cleaned over the past three months.
At present, bamboo which was established while has changed weak in recent rain and abundant if heavy rains, causing a lot of discomfort for the population.
Mohammed Ahmed, TTDP, GHMC, a minority vice president, told toi that Nala had not been cleaned for the past few weeks even though there were several complaints.
Officials asked the eligible authority to see this problem and examine the conditions around Nala but the authorities reportedly failed to solve the problem.
“It’s a problem for everyone passing through this route.
This problem is taken with GHMC Higher-UPS asking officials to check and overcome this problem but nothing has been done,” he said.
