HYDERABAD: all of the issues being faced by the farmers in paddy procurement centers, Telangana Jana Samithi president Kodandaram has urged the state authorities to guarantee sufficient distribution of tarpaulins, gunny bags, hamalis and automobiles amongst other centers in the procurement centers.
A delegation of all TJS members headed by Kodandaram filed a memorandum to agricultural marketing and advertising manager G Lakshmi Bai on Tuesday saying the TJS closely affirms the paddy procurement strategy although its improper execution was causing huge issues into the farmers.
The TJS teams seen procurement centers and discovered numerous irregularities.
“Farmers were made to wait around for 10 to 60 times prior to the turn comes around promote their possessions.
The delay on the part of the procurement center officers has led to tens of thousands of tonnes of paddy becoming damaged because of rains, there’s not a tent or even a quilt providing shade for those farmers .
There are no bathroom facilities but farmers have been made to await days with each other to eliminate their paddy,” Kodandaram said in the memorandum.
