Hyderabad: After a quiet year hampered by the Pandemic Festival, Bathukamma and Navratri will be celebrated with the spirit of this year.
Special Pujas and Dandiya Mahotsavs marched in temples and residential areas throughout the city.
While Bathukamma began on October 6, the celebration of Navratri will start Thursday with a private Dandiya festival held.
Some gated communities will hold various lively programs in an effort to unite people.
“For Bathukamma, we have a special prayer that is being held in nine days.
For Navratri, the night of Dandiya was being held on October 9 on the cricket soil in our society.
We will take all the precautions needed to ensure crowd management to maintain Covid-19 At Bay, “said KVSN Raju, a member of the Hill citizen association in Nizampet.
Hotels in the city will also use the celebration period as an opportunity to redeem their pandemic losses by conducting special events of Navratri.
A star hotel in Somajiguda will host Navratri Utsaav where live music, authentic food counter, direct singer and large dandiya settings will be arranged for customers.
For Bathukamma, complicated arrangements have been made for festivals at Katta Maisamma-Pochamma Temple which is decades in Chilkalguda in Sithapalmandi.
This temple has the same significance as the Tuil of Ujini Mahakali in Subhash Nagar.
“While bathuku means life, Amma is a praise for women.
During the festival, the woman wore Sarees or Langa Voni (half saree) dancing circling, singing songs and clapping for Devi, looking for health and prosperity for their families,” said C Devasena, a resident of Sithapalmandi.
On October 7, Atukul Bathukamma, Sapidi Pappu (Boiled Dal), Bellam (Jaggery) and Atukulu (POHA) will be offered in various places where the Bathukamma celebration is being organized.
Rituals such as Akhanda Deeparadhana, Navagraha Puja, Kalasa Stapana, Abhishekam, and Sahasra Namarchana were carried out in various temples throughout the city.
