HYD: Veggy & Meat Get Dayer as a Spiral Fuel Price

Hyderabad: The impact of the increase in fuel prices in the city is now felt in every household, with monthly food bills shooting through the roof.
In recent weeks, essential costs such as edible vegetables, eggs, meat and oil have increased substantially, residents of Rue.

The price of soaring is not limited to vegetables.
It is also felt in the poultry sector where chicken prices skyrocket.
The cost of chicken without skin, for example, has increased to Rs 250 per kg from less than Rs 200 in recent weeks.
The cost of eggs is also now Rs 6 per piece.
“The poultry sector is highly affected by the increase in fuel prices because we must bear the burden of rising protein feed prices (soybeans and corn) which are transported from various countries such as Madhya Pradesh.
While part of it we have continued to consumers, we cannot maintain remunatives,” said Kg Anand, General Manager of Hatcheries Venkateshwara.
