Hyderabad: Police Gachibowli has solved a 30-year-old Mason murder case, M Shekar, which took place on October 10 at Gopanpally.
Mason’s wife M Jyothy and her lover D Manikyam was arrested.
Police said that Shekhar and Jyothy worked as laborers on construction sites supervised by Manikyam.
While working there, Jyothy became intimate with Manikyam and Shekhar, who watched the change in his wife’s behavior, began to harass him.
To continue their relationship, Manikyam and Jyothy hatched plans to kill Shekhar.
Manikyam invited Shekhar to drink and take him to an open area where he made a shekar consuming poisonous liquor.
After he fell unconscious, Manikyam killed Shekhar with ax, police said.
Jyothy then told the family that Shekhar was gone, he himself found the body and told the police.
The police verified the CCTV footage near the crime scene and during the next interrogation, which was accused of admitted.
