Kolkata: The 25-year-old bank executive body – head wrapped in a polyitene bag and a pipe installed on a helium gas cylinder injected into plastic – found on his bed at guest accommodation paying in Salt Lake on Monday.
Identified as P Samwrith, Amberpet residents in Hyderabad, civil engineers were employed as technical managers with private banks.
The police said they had found two pages “suicide notes” from their rooms where he had written a long way about depression and returning the death of family members and signed saying “I stopped” and no one was responsible for his death.
The police have sent the body to post mortem and check the authenticity of handwriting on the note.
Two of his roommates – Cum-cum colleagues, were questioned by the North Police of Bidhannagar.
Forensic officials say helium, inert gas, is often used for suicidal purposes because of its broad availability online as part of the party balloon kit and the ability to cause death short of breath.
Samwrith’s colleague had told the police that they both went to work on Monday morning but he had lived behind.
They knew he was depressed and they called to check it several times but he did not answer the call.
The colleagues then returned home and opened the main door with a duplicate key they had with them and walked to his room to find him unconsciously – a plastic bag on his head and a large cylinder of helium gas on his bed.
“We found the young man fainted and sent him to the Subdivisional Bidhannagar Hospital where he was declared dead by a doctor who was present.
Even though we had received a suicide note, we checked his handwriting and had sent the body to check the post mortem to find the right time and cause Death.
We also tried to find out how the young man bought a helium cylinder, “said a senior officer of Bidhannagar Commissioner.
A senior private bank official Place Samwrith employed said everyone in his family – his parents, brother and recently brother-in-law – died in Hyderabad and it made him very depressed.
“It seems like he doesn’t have anyone else in his family.
One of his close friends will come to get his body on Tuesday,” the official said.
