Hyderabad: Police Commissioner CV Anand on Wednesday said they want to increase the level of confidence in cases registered for violations of narcotics & psychotropic drugs in the city of 22% in the city.
He said this during the launch of the Hyderabad (H-new) narcotics enforcement wing and supervision of narcotics investigation (NISW).
“In some cases accused of being released because the procedure set out in the NDPS law has not been fulfilled.

The police said (H-New) will be led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police G Chakravarthy.
It will focus on gathering intelligence, conducting raids, identifying stock points, supply routes, peddlers and drug receivers.
NISW, will be led by the assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) officers.
This will oversee every NDPS case from registering fir and court decisions.
The two wings began operating from Hyderabad police, Basheerbagh, on Wednesday.
