Hyderabad: Closure of road services at RK Puram Flyover and Lakdawala Gate, which has become a bone of dispute between The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and local military authorities for years, will now be handled with iron fists.
This problem was deposited by residents during a virtual meeting on the incorporation of the Civil Region of the Cantonment Council Secunderabad with GHMC, organized by TOI along with Arvind Kumar, Head of Secretary of the City Government and Urban Development, a member of the legislature, Secunderabad Cantonment.
“When the flyover is built and managed by GHMC, how can local military authorities have the right to closing the service road below it? Despite getting orders from the Ministry of Defense, both GHMS and the wing of the Secunderabad’s team.
Residents claim that the walls block the movement of traffic towards Sainikpuri and Area Under the flyover, thus creates chaos.
The situation is almost the same at the Lakdawala gate.
“Small efforts have been made to remove this encroachment at RK Puram Flyover and Lakdawala Gate.
We have sent several representations to GHMC, mod, enforcement wings that do not produce results, “Sethi said.
Noted the problem filed by the population, a special chief secretary said,” the closure of the road anywhere leads to a lot of discomfort and I am aware of the efforts taken by Green Sainikpuri members who endlessly struggle for this problem.
I will ask Wing enforcement to see this problem.
