Hyderabad: A man who stopped his MBA course, was arrested by the police bazaar after he allegedly deceived someone by promising him to provide government work.
The police said that a Srinivas, a resident of Kamereddy district, filed a complaint that claimed that one n Swamy, collected Rs 1.7 lakh through various modes, including cash and e-wallet wallets.
Payment was made by the victim in 2019.
Since then, the defendant has not given victims of work as promised.
“The defendant claimed he was a police officer and to gain the trust of the victim, he would wear a police uniform at his residence.
Believe him, the victim thought he could help get government work in a different department,” said Bazar Bazar Inspector Kimum K Madhu Mohan Reddy.
Defendant, Swamy, also from Kamereddy District.
It was in 2018 that victims were introduced to be accused through the same friend.
The police verified how many people accused were accused of the pretext of giving them jobs.
