Hyderabad: General Law Acceptance Test (Clat) will be held twice a year in 2022.
The decision was taken by the consortium of the National Law University in a meeting held in Nalsar in the city on Sunday.
Every year, nearly 75,000 students appear for Clat to secure the entrance ticket to 22 national law universities that offer LLB and LLM programs integrated five years.
This will be the first time the exam will be held twice a year.

The Consortium has decided that the CLAT-2023 will be held on December 18, 2022.

The decision was taken during the Annual Executive Committee and General Body Meeting of the National Law University Consortium.
This consortium is expected to release a detailed schedule and registration for CAT on its official website immediately.
Not only this, the consortium has also reduced counseling costs for the general category candidates from Rs 50,000 to Rs of 30,000 and Rs 20,000 for candidates from scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, other backwards, disabled parts and weaker people.
The consortium has also decided to protect the privacy of candidates by securing their agreement before they share personal information with any university or third party for the exam.
