Hyderabad: When it comes to vaccinating the recipients of their registered benefits, Hyderabad stands in sixth position among the top seven cities with 33.23 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine vaccine given in the GHMC area.
Bengaluru, Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata were in front of Hyderabad in the vaccination process.
Overall, 18 beneficiaries of men, 15 women and 482 transgenders have been vaccinated in the city.
Of the 1.5 crore recipients in the state, the GHMC area has 26 recipients of Lakh registered benefits for vaccination.
Of these, 24.7 lakh has received the first dose, while only 8.6 lakh has received a second dose.
The bad coverage of the second dose in the city and the rest of Telangana has been considered from a low vaccine dose.
“There are irregular and less than the allocation needed for the country from the beginning of vaccination programs.
This has affected the second and three times this time, the first dose must be postponed to prioritize the second dose,” said an official from the State Health Department.
“Even two weeks ago, we were in the same situation.
This is basically due to poor planning and an inappropriate allocation for various countries,” he added.
In comparison, cities such as Bengaluru have provided 60.9 lakh the first dose, Mumbai has provided 58.5 lakh Jabs and Kolkata has 35.7 recipients of Lakh receiving the first dose.
When it comes to the second dose, Mumbai leads, followed by Bengaluru and Kolkata.
