Hyderabad: More than 100 doctors boycotted their duty at the government’s chest hospital a day after a doctor was attacked by a patient’s relatives.
Although emergency services remain operational, regular patients experience delays and many have to go home after waiting a few hours.
The doctors called their protest after the FIR institution was filed in this case and promises were made to order the culprit.
They also demanded tight security and ended the VIP culture.
A junior doctor was attacked on Sunday by participants of a patient, recommended by the hospital supervisor, claiming doctors.
Angry protests rocked the government’s chest hospital in the city on Monday with more than 100 doctors boycotting the duty a day after a doctor was attacked by relatives of a patient.
The doctors then called their protest after the FIR institution was submitted in this case and promised to order the perpetrator.
