Hyderabad prepares to welcome Ganesh

Hyderabad: With only the remaining days for the beginning of the celebration, the lake, a pool made by Ganesh Chaturthi, and the main location in the entire city was being tidied by civilian authorities.
This year the festival will begin on September 10 and conclude on September 19.
To ensure smooth flow of the procession and the complexity-free independence, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has spread its staff at 170 focal points and 28 artificial pools in the city.
The wing of the Entomology Body Civic also does a little by doing cleaning ponds, anti-larvae and regular, and the surrounding area.
The department has worked 1,200 personnel in three shifts to clean the problem area.
“To fight a disease that was transmitted through the vector, our team had also released a gambusia fish into several ponds.
The pool near Kothha Cheruvu, Lake Ild, Durgam Cheruvu and Kondapur had been cleaned.
Also, 21 other lakes were being cleaned on a war footing,” said Dr.
A Rambabu, GHMC head.
On the accumulation of waste after the conclusion of the festival, an GHMC official said: “Workers will be deployed in each pool to remove puja items and decorative materials from the pool after immersion.” This year’s official has set 330 cranes (122 static and 208 cellphones) for idol immersion with an estimated cost of ₹ 10 crore.
Cranes will be deployed on large lake and artificial pools throughout the city.
Crane service providers have been given strict instructions to provide adequate sandbags and ensure that newly developed facilities including designer and sidewalk lamps are not damaged during the immersion process.
