Hyderabad: A degree student stabbed a girl repeatedly, allegedly by refusing her offer, after sneaking into her home on Wednesday night in Vattinagulapally village near Gachibowli.
The defendant was arrested and hit by a family and local residents.
Both were hospitalized and were declared out of danger.
The incident occurred at around 1.30 in the morning.
The girl, Rookie Singh (21), a student of B Arch, and defendant Prem Singh (21), the third year title, is a distant relative.
Both were accepted in two different private hospitals, police said.
“When we talked to the victim, he claimed that they never had a relationship.
He said that they spoke occasionally, but in the past month he began to avoid Prem after he felt he was trying to use it.
This might make him upset,” said Inspector Gachibowli G Suresh .
According to the police, Prem entered the girl’s house by choosing the door lock and attacked him when he studied in a room.
His scream woke up other people at home and they saved the girl, police said.
The girl suffered an injury in her hand, her legs and neck.
The defendant was beaten by the locals and the girl’s family.
The victim shifted to the hospital in Gachibowli.
After the police reached the place, they admitted the defendant to the regional hospital and then went to a private hospital.
The police have registered the case below the 307 IPC section (trying to murder).
