Hyderabad: Tea vendor gets a life imprisonment for a 12-year-old rape

Hyderabad: The local court on Tuesday gave imprisonment of the life of the tea vendor to rape a 12-year-old girl in Saifabad in 2018.
The court in Nampally directed inmates, 45, to serve a prison sentence of Rs 10,000.
He was punished under the protection of children from the actions of sexual violations (Pocso).
“The defendant was sentenced to undergo a life sentence, which meant a prison sentence to remind the natural life of the person, and paid a fine of Rs 10,000,” said the judge in the order.
Violations took place in 2018 and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Saifabad) Venugopal Reddy had submitted a cost sheet.
Mother Survivor submitted a complaint stating that her daughter was sexually harassed by tea vendors at the real estate office.
Minor was taken to the center of Bharosa, where his statement was recorded besides his medical examination was carried out.
Investigative officers collect evidence besides eyewitness statements.
The court, after conducting a trial, sentenced the defendant and sentenced him to undergo a lifelong imprisonment.
