Hyderabad: A 19-year-old girl strangled her mother to death with her lover’s help in their home in Chintalmet, Rajendranagar on Monday night.
The girl allegedly killed her mother when she refused to allow her to marry her boyfriend.
The deceased, Yadamma, 45, is a daily wage worker and her husband is a worker.
According to the police, Nandini, who was a school dropout, fell in love with Ram Kumar, 19, a young man who was unemployed from the environment.
“Nandini used to meet Kumar Ram quietly and when he was looking for his parents’ approval to marry him, they refused to give his permission and then Yadamma rebuked Nandini to secretly meet him,” said Inspector.
On Monday night, when Nandini with Ram Kumar at his house, Yadamma came home.
Kumar escaped from home and Yadamma rebuked Nandini to meet Kumar.
“Nandini told Kumar about the incident and they decided to kill Yadamma.
According to the plan, Kumar came to his house and they strangled Yadamma to death by stealing,” said the inspector.
The incident was revealed when Yadiah returned home.
The police turned the body to post-mortem and accused being accused on Tuesday.
