Hyderabad: A man was arrested for allegedly beating youth for traveling with a woman belonging to another community on two-wheeled vehicles, police said on Monday.
A video attack that has become a viral on social media shows some people standing around the youth and female carrier racers, who sit on the scooter.
Immediately, both were made to get off the vehicle even when a man seemed allegedly slapped the young man and several other people arguing with motorists and women.
A person defendant, who hit the young man, had been arrested, a senior police official told PTI.
Asked when the incident happened, the official said it was an old incident and they identified the defendant, registered the case and arrested him.
In a similar incident reported in Nizamabad Regency on September 8, a man was beaten by a group of people, who objected to his journey with a woman belonging to another community, according to the police.
