Gurgaon: Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) plans to establish a source of hydrants who care for wastewater from plants throughout the city to maintain a green belt.
The proposal, discussed by the Core Planning Cell (BPK) last month, can cost the RS3 Crore authority, officials said.
At present, the tanker drawing water from the treatment plant is used to water the city green belt.
According to Subhash Chander Yadav, Chief Executive Officer additional urban environment division GMDA, it is a “boring” process and affects the traffic movements.
“Also, mud and dust from green belts often come to the road while watering, leading to further complications,” he said.
Because the method drawn long to water the green belt, the type of plant in this green belt has been limited to those who need less maintenance, such as Bougainvillea, officials said.
The proposed hydrant system, they added, is likely to make a green belt watering more comfortable and efficient.
According to officials, the Core Planning Cell GMDA (BPK) last month decided that “the project can be done”.
Estimates for the proposed project set costs at RS6 Lakh per kilometer.
Prepare hydrants along the stream of 50 kilometers of green belt proposed, officials said, is expected to cost the total cost of Rs 3 Crore.
“Our plan is to put waste water pipes treated in all green belts throughout the city so that the water from this plant is used correctly.
Our aim is to ensure that moist green belts that will not only stimulate greenery but also limit dust pollution and allow us Planting several other species, such as flowering plants, “Yadav said.
The main line to supply tried wastewater has been placed by the GMDA II Infrastructure Division on the one side of the green belt, the official said.
“So, our work is to put the small lines of high density polyethylene (HDPE) to extend the tissue to the middle threshold and then use the Trenchless method to put it on the other side.
The line will be used to set hydrands every 30 meters,” Additional CEO added.
