PANAJI: Housing Minister Mauvin Godinho on Wednesday said that he was being chosen unfairly and blamed for allegedly testing Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini’s bill.
He said that even though he received the collective responsibility for the bill as part of the cabinet, he had not pioneered the bill.
The minister said the opposition polished the problem because the assembly poll approached and added that the opposition must be blamed over through the bill when they walked out of the house without debating him.
“I don’t understand why I was blamed.
I accepted responsibility when I was in the cabinet and every decision taken was a collective responsibility.
But I have read that I am a person who drives the bill and that I was behind him, that I supported it because of Zuarinagar HNIGHTINGS , “Godinho said.
The minister said that the Zuarinagar area now fell under the constituency of Kortalim and not the constituents of Dabolim.
“First clarification, migrant workers who live in Zuarinagar have lived there up to 50 years.
They work for Birla, later it changes its name to Zuari and then appears.
Migrants who lived there were as old as companies.
They were born and taken there.

He said that Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant had announced that he was open to improve any shortcomings in the bill.
“Opposition must be blamed more than the government.
If they waited at home, debated and if they demand the home committee on it, maybe the government will listen.
They walked out to make politics from him,” Minister said.
He said that the cabinet will immediately discuss the bill at the next meeting and “every native people’s problems” will be overcome.
“They (opposition) have combined this Panchayat bill and bill and they blame me.
I know the election is close, but don’t spin in such a way that it turns out to be poison for everyone,” Godinho said.
He also said that ‘people were not provoked’ to migrants.
“Our goans who live abroad and they have children there, they belong to the country.
