Bharuch: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said he got Rs 4 Lakh per month as a royalty of YouTube, because viewers from the video lecture posted on the social media platform increased during the Covid-19 pandemic.
While reviewing the progress of the Expressway Delhi-Mumbai (DME) in Bharuch, Gadkari further said his ministry had begun to assess road construction and consultant contractors.
During Covid-19 times, Gadkari said he did two things.
“I became a chef and started cooking at home and gave lectures through video conferencing.
I sent more than 950 lectures online, including lectures for foreign university students, who were uploaded on YouTube.” My YouTube channel viewers increased and YouTube now pays me Rs 4 lakh per month as a royalty, “he said.
Gadkari, known as his Frank’s view, said that in India, those who do good work, don’t get awards.
