NEW DELHI: Star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu on Wednesday desired Spain’s Carolina Marin a quick comeback after she had been forced from their Tokyo Games because of some freak knee injury also stated she’ll overlook out the reigning Olympic champion at the quadrennial event.
Marin, a prime contender for the gold medal in the Tokyo Games, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during exercise and pulled from this showpiece occasion on Tuesday.
“So sorry to hear about your injury.
Expecting you will recover soon and come back stronger,” Sindhu, who’d settled to the silver trophy in the Rio Games after dropping to Marín at the closing, said in a video posted on Twitter.
