NEW DELHI: The earnings taxation (I-T) section on Wednesday said that it has issued yearly 25,301 crore-worth refunds for over 15.45 lakh taxpayers to date this financial. From this complete sum, private income tax refunds to the tune of Rs 7,494 crore are issued by over 15 lakh instances. But, it’s thought that the refunds would be to get tax returns filed for 2019-20 monetary. In the last fiscal, the division had annual 2.62 lakh crore-worth refunds for over 2.38 crore taxpayers. The prices issued in 2020-21 financial was 43.2 percent greater compared to 1.83 lakh crore issued in 2019-20 financial, that ended March 31, 2020.
